![]() ![]() They've been around 75 years, so if you like Frischs, maybe show them some love. Between the weather and Covid, I guess it is really tough for these folks. Maybe others were going out of that door, and letting the cold in? We decided to do that to skip most the snowy/icy sidewalks. Told us we could go out the door near the handicapped parking if we wished. Unfortunate parking layout, so we parked on that side of the building and made our way to the opposite side where the entrance is.with our was quite slippery. No salt near or around the handicapped parking spots. My friend had the soup and salad bar, which one can get a free grilled cheese with right now, so a good deal. I ordered the chili spaghetti.a weird choice for me, but it was actually quite good, and a good fit for the weather. But we were meeting someone today, and this seemed the best centrally located place. The orders seem to always be wrong, or the food has been unappetizing. I've had so many bad experiences, and I only rarely give in to requests by my clients to eat there if given a choice of somewhere else. I will note that it’s very busy at lunch time since it sits downtown so call or visit early but if you haven’t been you should definitely check it out! □Īs a rule, I do not eat at Frischs. We’re definitely going to go back and try out some more of their dishes. The food was quick, nicely portioned, very fresh & oh so good! We sat downstairs since the 1st floor was full and so was the outside seating. The cashier who was also the lady who helped us with menus stated everything comes to go and if staying outside or in to just have a seat and they’ll call our name. After finding what we both wanted we placed our order. She stated to check out the huge wall board where they had specials listed and customers favorites as well and if we didn’t find anything we liked to just ask. ![]() An employee was out in the open area and handed us menus after she found out we had never been there before. Very easy to find, cute eclectic decor and very friendly staff. We like to try new places so googled breakfast and found this lil gem. They had a variety of choices chicken tenders, salmon, mac n cheese, chicken wrap and salads (all I can think of off the top of my head) - most came in kid’s meal sized servings. Just about any fast food restaurant would have cost about the same without the quality. We added two sodas to our meal - try the lingonberry soda, you won’t regret it. The were both very good unfortunately, I forgot to take a pic. We each got a dessert my husband got the apple “pie” and I chose a chocolate layered-looking dessert (don’t remember the name). It was VERY good a sweet berry taste, just like cranberry without the tart. What appeared to be cranberry sauce was actually lingonberry sauce. The mashed potatoes were not bad just didn’t stand out. The green beans were tender with a fresh taste. The meatballs had a good texture and were flavorful. My husband got a full size order - neither of us had eaten, yet. I got the Swedish meatball kid’s meal because it was too late for lunch and too early for dinner. We went to their restaurant for the first time and I am pleasantly surprised. ![]()
